Practice the Politecnico architecture entrance exams, in English.

One set of real exam-style questions for both architecture entrance tests: the TIL-A (Torino) and the ARCHED (Milano). Same five sections, same format, timed and scored like the real thing, with a worked explanation for every answer. Built by a student who couldn't find this when she applied.

Why this exists

I'm a second-year architecture student at the Politecnico di Torino. When I was applying, I spent weeks trying to find a way to practise the TIL-A entrance test in English, and found almost nothing.

Everything was in Italian, or built for the engineering test, or buried inside expensive courses. I got in anyway, but it was harder than it should have been, mostly because I never knew if I was actually ready.

ArchPrep is the thing I wish I'd had: original questions written in the same style as the real exam, in English, that you can sit under real conditions and get instant feedback on. The first five questions of every section are free, so you can see exactly what it's like before deciding anything.

Torino's TIL-A and Milano's ARCHED are the same kind of test: same five sections, same format, so the same practice gets you ready for either. In the app you pick which one you're sitting and it scores you that exam's way.

All five exam areas

Both the TIL-A and the ARCHED test breadth, not just one subject. ArchPrep covers every section either exam does.

1

General Culture

Art, literature, geography, science, and the institutions and current affairs you're expected to know.

2

Logical Reasoning

Number sequences, syllogisms, analogies, odd-one-out, and short reading-comprehension passages.

3

History

General history alongside art and architecture history: orders, periods, movements, and key works.

4

Drawing & Representation

Orthographic and axonometric projection, plans, sections, conic sections, and spatial reasoning.

5

Maths & Physics

Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, mechanics, and the basics of physics, at the level the test expects.

Scored like the real test

Every question has five options and one correct answer. You practise under the same rules and the same time pressure you'll face in July, so your score here actually means something. In the app you pick TIL-A or ARCHED and it scores you that exam's way.
